Vera Eisenberg, an effervescent woman, and graduate of the CIA is known for making authentic Hungarian hand-stretched strudel, and cooking for hoards of friends in her Vermont farmhouse. Try her apple strudel filling and you, too, may start referring to her as the Strudel Queen. Vera, I curtsy to you!
Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Budapest, came to the US in ‘64, graduated from Culinary Institute of America in 2000 and fulfilled my lifetime dream to be a good cook.
Are you a social person?
Some say I am a social butterfly, the life of the party.

Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle.
tell me your favorite thing about New York City
I love to try new restaurants, share a great meal and drink with friends.
What do you do to unwind?
A glass (or two) of good wine and read a new cookbook from cover to cover.
What’s your favorite thing to do at a party?
Dress to look fab, taste the hopefully delicious tidbits and just laugh and chat.
Your cocktail of choice?
Lillet with Cointreau & orange peel.
