Pennoyer Newman designs are cast from original specimens, but in a lightweight, weather-resistant material. In other words, these replicas of antique planters offer the same classic look—without the upkeep.
Pennoyer Newman hunts for classic concrete planters around the world in order to preserve their original designs, but in modern form. They have over 400 resin replicas made with a bespoke composition of pummeled marble and rock mixed in with the resin. Bonus: adding the marble and rock to the resin naturally encourages moss and lichen to grow on the containers, adding to its natural look.

FLORENTINE SQUARE PLANTER A handsome number that comes in small and medium sizes. They are raised slightly to allow for drainage. From $650.
LILAC URN Inspired by the Enid A. Haupt Glasshouse Conservatory located at the New York Botanical Garden is a vase designed to hold cuttings from lilac gardens. The dome base has a 3.5” interior diameter, large enough to hold a 3” metal frog to hold stems upright. $200.

Company founder Paul Pennoyer was the grandson of JP Morgan, an American mogul who also had a passion for collecting art. He teamed up with his wife Cecily, an art historian who is still running the company, to preserve the oldest and most distinguished designs from his grandfather’s collection.
