Living in the USA it is hard to imagine some have not made it to Mexico yet. Well I was one of those New Yorkers. No Mexican experience other than Lower East Side taco place and Cinco de Mayo margarita parties. So when JetBlue invited me to fly to Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel in Puerto Vallarta on their first, non stop route from JFK it was a sign the time had come. I was on my way to Mexico! The flight was smooth and pleasant so all there was to worry about was getting into a swimming suit upon arrival .
Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel representatives greeted us with water and aromatic, hot towels at the airport. Ride to the hotel lasted about twenty minutes and we even got to listen to music of our choice in the car. Our welcome drink at the reception was refreshing and the staff very kind.
What is very unique about the check in is you get a pillow menu and a scent menu for in room aromatherapy. Love a hotel that knows how important scents and good night sleep are. It was already an excellent sign. At least three of my senses were satisfied and I did not even enter my room yet.
My room was deluxe, with a jacuzzi, king size bed and a gorgeous view. Tastefully furnished, it was absolutely breathtaking walking in and seeing the glorious Bahia de Banderas from my private balcony—the only downside is that you almost don’t want to leave the room!
Now settled in, it was time to try one of their restaurants. Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway offers a variety of dining options. From the flavors of traditional Mexican cuisine to the finest international delicacies, the “Exquisite All-Inclusive Gourmet” plan, curated by executive chef Sebastian S Varona Domblas will set you up for an experience without limits. The first night we tried Chef’s Table, 5 course dinner, with pairing experience. I highly recommend it, specially made with fresh, local ingredients.
The Hotel has two pools. An infinity pool with bar service all day long and the main pool surrounded by beautiful flower gardens. Don’t forget, this is an adults only resort which has many advantages. I also enjoyed the beach and would usually have my lunch on the beach. Loved their tacos and shrimp wrap, with some sparkling wine, of course. On Saturdays, there is a fish market, a sea-to-table concept created by Chef Sebastian Varona and his team with fresh ingredients straight from the Bay of Banderas and other waters near Mexico’s leading Pacific Coast. There are seasonal options such as mahi-mahi, red snapper, sea bass, octopus, crab, lobster, clam, scallops and oysters among others. You can either hit the gym after or continue indulging by getting a massage at their spa.
Located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta just a few blocks from the main downtown pedestrian promenade, guests can enjoy many activities outside of the hotel. Lots of galleries, shops and water activities are available. From the moment guests arrive, Villa Premiere offers a sensorial experience. It is an ideal luxury resort for adults only getaway and I can’t wait to be back !
