Geared towards the hip, discerning traveler, only hotels that will make your trip a treasured, personal memory are included.
Hotels Above Par was conceptualized by boutique hotel pundit and enthusiast, Brandon Berkson during the pandemic, and his Instagram page already has over 35K followers—so you can really see what’s been on everyone’s mind these days. The website is broken into regions with a curated list of properties and a snippet of information. The Insight & Inspiration section is full of ideas and suggestions for properties known and unknown. Some are located in vast swaths of wilderness (as seen in the photo at the top of this post of Eastwind), others in the most cosmopolitan cities.

Their Instagram Live series “Checking In with Hotels Above Par” features discussions with influencers, journalists, and hoteliers—including journalists who have written for publications such as Popsugar, Forbes, Vogue, Architectural Digest, Condé Nast Traveler, DuJour, and more… and “Hotel Hit List”—a set of playful superlatives highlighting different illustrious industry figures’ favorite hotels.
