Located on Greenwich Street in the West Village, Left Bank promises from the outside to be something special. It is. Another farm to table place that has stood the test of time, this one has simply great dishes.
Who To Take: That other couple you really like spending time with or a friend to grab a seat at the counter by the window
The calamari appetizer was best in show (seen in photo at the top of the post), but we really liked the addition of chicken livers in our salad as well.
My friend Pamela always orders the fish, and this time she was rewarded with a nice portion set atop pesto and spinach with beans on the side. Treat.
The rest of us got pasta with veggies.
The atmosphere is lively—and dark. I especially like the fact that we went on a Friday night, but we were still able to hold a conversation. Everybody in the place seemed happy.
Downstairs is an adorable Victorian-looking private party space, perfect for a guest list of 20.
