Café Serafina is the latest outpost by Serafina Restaurant Group, known for its tantalizing restaurants across New York City and the Hamptons. We checked out this all-day cafe, which delivers authentic Italian goodies that New Yorkers have become accustomed to.

When Serafina opens a new spot, they tend to bring out the flair of the neighborhood they are in. Their latest project is steps away from Central Park. It might feel like you are somewhere in Europe with the pace slowed down—the ambiance of this modern coffee shop is relaxing and ideal for someone looking to catch up on work or with a friend, without having to get too fancy for a date.

The space is decorated with just enough elements to exceed simplicity. There is pasta and bottles of prosecco decorating the space and a big sign “Loves me, Loves me yes!“ a positive take on picking daisies, which happen to be Cafe Serafina’s symbol. Bright yellow walls are spotted with big, white daisies, matched with shades of pink.

Located at the corner of 58th Street and Seventh Avenue it is ideal for a coffee pick me up before visiting Carnegie Hall, Columbus Circle, and taking in Central Park.

Upon entering there is an incredible display featuring their latest and fresh homemade pastries. Bamboloni, croissants, scones, rolls and desserts are lined up as well, so the first thing we did was reserve a chocolate tart for after our meal. No regrets there. It was a rich and decadent.

Now when you see sparkling wine on the menu, it is difficult to resist sticking to just coffee but then you discover they serve Whispering Angel rosé as well—so the meal becomes so much more festive. Truth is, one can come here for three meals a day. Coffee and pastry in the morning, pasta for lunch and some branzino or chicken for dinner. The all-day menu features paninis, hand-crafted sandwiches, along with Roman-style pizzas, signature pasta dishes, and seasonal salads. Popular selections from the menu include the Parma Sandwich, Alla Nutella Panini, Kale Salad, and Salmone.

Top recommended homemade pasta dishes are Cacio e Pepe and Ravioli Pomodoro Basilico. Now my personal recomendacion is their pizza! It is a generous size and we tasted Pizza Bianca, a delicious, crispy and just crunchy enough dough came topped with arugula, shaved parmigiano reggiano, mozzarella and fontina cheese. More than enough for cheese lovers but we must warn you, their pizza is so good someone has to stop you from ordering more!
