RoadTrippers Who Enjoy Getting Out Of The City For One-of-a-kind Experiences, These Spots Are For You.

Upstate New York offers a lot of romantic getaways, but one of the most enticing renovations has to be Troutbeck. The historic property (Ernest Hemingway and Theodore Roosevelt were guests here) has been a home to poets and romantics for years, and now you can enjoy its splendor in style. From snuggling in bed with in-room dining, to getting active with skiing, booking your stay here means you can make the experience your own. With a calendar filled with activities and things to do and see, this country getaway is anything but boring. The special 250 acre property includes a spa, restaurant, and spacious accommodations that offer plenty of privacy. Booking a weekend getaway at Troubeck will surely be a bonding and relaxing experience, one that will bring you closer together.

Sometimes celebrating love means getting some distance between you and the city, but not having to rent a car. For a nearby experience that feels out-of-this-world, consider the TWA Hotel at the JFK Airport. The famous nostalgia hotel has created a chalet pop-up that transports you into the 1960s. The cozy après ski pup-up can be located at The Pool Bar. The cozy set-up allows you to relax with aviation-themed cocktails and soak in their outdoor pool, which the hotel turned into a steamy “pool-cuzzi.” One of the coolest perks of visiting the TWA hotel is getting to see jets take off and land on the tarmac below the rooftop pool. The Runway Chalet is open to hotel guests and visitors alike. Spending your Valentine’s Day here will ensure you get interesting photos to look back on in the future.

When Your Personality Sparkles Best In A Glamorous Room With An Expensive Cocktail In Hand, These Spots Are For You.

The Lowell Hotel is well-known for its exclusive and romantic atmosphere, spending your Valentine’s Day here guarantees you are in for an elegant experience. For a day date, opt for their coveted Lily of The Valley high tea, served Dior style. This is no ordinary high tea. From the cloth napkins with lily of the valley motifs, to cookies in shapes of dior designs, your experience will be a memorable one. Bring someone who loves fashion and enjoys dressing up. If cocktails are more your speed, visit the hotel’s Moroccan-style bar, Jacques, where you can enjoy a quiet conversation with cocktails and a pretty extensive food menu. We had one of our most memorable dishes here, the Risotto du Jour. No matter your experience, this hotel is a romantic destination with a reputation for meticulous service.

The Baccarat Hotel is a glamorous haven worthy of your sparkling Valentine’s Day plans. Their gorgeous bar interior glimmers with chandeliers, reflective glass tables, diamond checkered flooring and the walls are covered with art. Cocktails are served in Baccarat glassware, and if it is your first time visiting, we recommend ordering their signature Rouge cocktail. The special cocktail is garnished with a delicious Hibiscus Fruit and is unlike anything else we tasted. Our second favorite cocktail is the Old Fashioned, served with cotton candy. Drinks are poured tableside with extra flair. For small bites we recommend the olives and a charcuterie board, which comes with the most tasty pickled vegetables. For a more elaborate evening at the Baccarat, take things a step further by booking the hotel’s four-course Couples Date Night Dinner – Dîner de St. Valentin. The hotel’s famous Grand Salon certainly knows how to set the stage for romantic dining. TheValentine’s Day dinner has four courses by Executive Chef’s Ashfer Biju, and is complemented by champagne and hand-crafted cocktails served in the hotel’s elegant crystal. Your Valentine will be wowed!
